The summer is in full swing in Wisconsin. With the warmer weather and sunny days, it is common for there to be an increase in drivers and motor vehicles on the roadways. Because of the increase in traffic, it is especially important that drivers are practicing safe driving at all times. Unfortunately, motor vehicle accidents can occur. Motor vehicle accidents can have severe consequences, such as property damage, injuries and even fatalities. Recently, a tragic accident happened in Racine County, Wisconsin.
The accident happened on Friday, July 31, 2020 around 9:50 am on Frontage Road near Golf Road Law enforcement officials state that the driver of a car was at a stop sign. After stopping at the stop sign, the driver pulled out onto the roadway in front of a semi truck. The semi truck then collided with the compact car on the driver’s side. Tragically, the driver of the compact car passed away at the scene of the accident as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the semi truck was not injured in the collision. The Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the accident and its cause.
Because of the severe and tragic consequences that can stem from motor vehicle accidents, it is of the utmost importance that drivers alway practice safe driving. By ensuring that drivers have their full attention on the roadways, drivers will be better able to react to situations they encounter on the roadways. Drivers should not engage in distracted driving activities, such as using the phone while driving or eating while driving. By eliminating activities that can distract the driver, it can help the driver to be more focused on driving, thus reducing the probability of being involved in an accident.
