With summer right around the corner, many motorcycles are making their way back onto the roadways after the long Wisconsin winter. Automobile drivers and motorcyclists alike should take extra caution when on the roadways to prevent accidents.
On April 24th around noon, a motorcyclist was involved in an accident in Walworth County. Law enforcement officials believe that the motorcyclist was driving on Sugar Creek Road, when he did not stop at the stop sign. After he failed to stop at the stop sign, the motorcyclist tried to continue on his path to Highway H. The motorcyclist drove his motorcycle into a ditch and ended up colliding with a tree located near the ditch.
Law enforcement officials and medical personnel were called to the scene. Tragically, the motorcyclist was killed as a result of the injuries that he sustained in the accident.
Law enforcement officials are performing investigations into why the crash occurred. They believe that speed may have played a role in causing the motorcyclist to crash.
