Announcing the Winners of the 2025 Martin Law Office Scholarship

September 10 , 2025 | Martin Law Scholarship

Martin Law Office is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Martin Law Office Scholarship: Fayzaan Virk and Harshini Meesala, both of Franklin, Wisconsin. Each year, this scholarship is awarded to local students who demonstrate leadership, service, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their community. This year, we are honored to recognize not one, but two outstanding students who embody these values and more.

About the Scholarship

The Martin Law Office Scholarship was created to support the next generation of leaders in Wisconsin. As a law firm dedicated to advocating for our community, we believe in investing in students who show a strong sense of responsibility, compassion, and civic engagement.

The scholarship is open to high school seniors who will be continuing their education at a college or university, with applicants asked to write an essay about the ways they have contributed to their community. Our goal with this program is to highlight the inspiring work being done by young people in Southeastern Wisconsin, and to provide support as they pursue higher education and continue building brighter futures.

About Our 2025 Recipient: Fayzaan Virk

Fayzaan, a senior at Franklin High School, has shown an impressive commitment to leadership and service during his high school career. In his winning essay, he shared how he views community service not as a checklist of tasks, but as “an ongoing commitment to assisting those around me in developing, thriving, and being heard.”

As captain of his school’s Mock Trial team, Fayzaan mentored new members, helping them build confidence and find their voices both in and outside the courtroom. His leadership turned nervous first-time participants into strong advocates, showing how encouragement and guidance can transform fear into strength.

Beyond Mock Trial, Fayzaan served as both National Honor Society president and class president, using his leadership roles to organize meaningful initiatives. Under his direction, Franklin High School saw expanded peer tutoring programs, increased student volunteer opportunities, and semi-annual road clean-ups that strengthened local neighborhoods. Fayzaan also worked with the Red Cross to coordinate blood drives, each drawing more than 100 donors, a powerful example of student-led community impact.

Fayzaan’s dedication to service extends beyond his school and hometown. As a volunteer writer for the Muslim Writers Guild of America, he has used his voice to “promote empathy and validate the experiences of underrepresented communities.” His articles engage with issues of

identity and current events, spreading awareness and fostering understanding across communities.

Looking Ahead: This fall, Fayzaan will continue his academic journey at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he plans to carry forward his passion for service, leadership, and advocacy. In his essay, he expressed his excitement to support new communities, elevate fresh voices, and promote constructive change as he begins this new chapter.

About Our 2025 Recipient: Harshini Meesala

Harshini, also a graduate of Franklin High School, has dedicated her time to leadership, service, and building connections in her school and community. During high school, she served as captain of the Mock Trial team, student body vice president, and captain of the JV tennis team. She also competed at the state level for Forensics Club, placing 4th in expository speaking, while participating in Future Business Leaders of America and Mock Trial Club.

Outside of school, Harshini balances her academics and leadership with meaningful work at WeRocktheSpectrum, an inclusive kids’ gym that helps children develop play skills and sensory regulation in a safe and nurturing environment. As part of the caring staff, she supports children with sensory and developmental challenges, providing encouragement and compassion that make a difference in their daily lives.

Looking Ahead: This fall, Harshini will be attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where she plans to study business and pursue a career in hospital administration. Her goal is to combine her passion for leadership and service with her academic interests to create positive change in healthcare.

Congratulations to Our Winners!

On behalf of everyone at Martin Law Office, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to both of our 2025 scholarship recipients, Fayzaan Virk and Harshini Meesala. Their dedication to leadership, service, and community impact truly reflects the spirit of this award.
