On Wednesday, March 1st, winter weather hit Wisconsin. The winter weather included snow fall in many parts of the state, including Sheboygan County. Law enforcement officials believe that the snow fall contributed to a car accident in Lima, Wisconsin.
Around 9:00 am on Wednesday, March 1st, two vehicles were involved in a car accident. The drivers were traveling in opposite directions on State Highway 32, when one of the vehicles crossed the center line, resulting in a car accident.
Law enforcement officials and ambulance personnel arrived on the scene, and both drivers were transported to the local hospital to receive care for their injuries sustained in the automobile accident. Tragically, one of the drivers died because of the injuries she had sustained in the accident.
Law enforcement officials believe that the snow fall played a contributing role to the car accident. At the time of the accident, snow was falling quite heavily.
Snow makes travel more dangerous. When driving in snow, drivers should exercise extra caution, accelerate and declerate slowly, travel at slower speeds and increase the following distance between themselves and other cars.
