The warm months of Wisconsin are beginning to come to a close. While the weather is nice, many Wisconsinites are participating in outdoor activities. Unfortunately, accidents involving pedestrians happen and when they do, it is almost certain that the pedestrian will get the worst of it.
A tragic accident happened recently in Elm Grove, Wisconsin. The accident happened on Saturday, August 17th near Bluemound Road and North Fairway Drive. The pedestrian was crossing Bluemound Road when he was struck by a vehicle. Police and emergency responders quickly responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to the hospital. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead upon at the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed on the scene of the accident and cooperated with the law enforcement officials. The Brookfield Police Department with the assistance of the Wisconsin State Patrol performed a traffic accident reconstruction. The accident remains under investigation.
