What is the Latest Product Recall?

February 14 , 2020 | Personal Injury

We expect the products we buy and consume to be safe for our use and consumption. Unfortunately, that is not always the case and sometimes the products we buy and consume pose potential risks to our health or safety. When this happens, it is common for the company that produces the product to issue a recall for it. Recently, a popular product for children has been recalled.

The company Infantino announced that it is issuing a recall for around 14,000 of its baby carriers. The baby carriers produced by the company were sold across the country. The recall was issued after the discovery that there is potential for the baby to fall out of the carrier. The company stated that the buckles on the carriers can break. If the buckles break, it poses a fall hazard for the baby in the carrier. The carriers included in the recall are:

  • Go Forward 4-in-1 Evolved Ergonomic Carrier
  • Flip Front2back Carrier
  • Up Close Newborn Carrier

The carriers included in the recall are made of cotton and have a front padded pouch.  The carriers are either black with black straps or gray with black straps. The carriers were sold at Target, on Amazon and at other retailers between November 2019 through December 2019 for prices between $30 and $50. The product name and lot code are listed on the label that is sewn into the inside of the carriers.

If you believe that you may own a carrier that is included in the recall, the company advises that you should immediately stop using the carrier. Consumers who own the recalled carriers can contact the company for instructions on how to receive a free carrier to replace the one subject to the recall.
