Wisconsin Named Worst State for Binge Drinking

Wisconsin is known for its beer and cheese. Wisconsin also has a reputation of its citizens drinking at events and tailgates. Recently, the United Health Foundation released its annual survey. The survey covers a wide variety of topics including community and environment, policy, clinical care and health problems. The survey found that Wisconsin is the worst state in the nation for binge drinking.

The rankings of the states with the most excessive drinking was based on the percentage of adults who engaged in excessive drinking. The survey found that almost 25 percent of adults in Wisconsin engage in excessive drinking. The state with the lowest amount of excessive drinking was Utah, where the survey found that 12 percent of adults engaged in excessive drinking.

The study also uncovered statistics about those who are engaging in the binge drinking. The study found that men, young adults and higher-income adults are those that are most likely to be engaging in excessive drinking. The study found that women, older adults and adults with lower incomes are less likely to engage in excessive drinking.

The results of this study show potential problems for the roadways in Wisconsin. With the high number of excessive drinkers, there is also a large amount of people getting behind the wheel after they have consumed alcohol. This is incredibly dangerous because alcohol impairs a driver’s abilities and increases the likelihood of being involved in an accident. Accidents can cause property damage, injuries and even fatalities. Because of the dangers associated with drinking and driving, it is something that should never be done. We need to work together to reduce the amount of impaired driving to make the roadways safer for everyone.
