On Monday, October 15th, the Milwaukee County Sherriff’s Department announced that over a period of four days, they arrested 15 people for driving while under the influence. The arrests occurred during the department’s “Operation Drive Sober” initiative. Of those arrested for OWI during the four day period, three of them were repeat offenders while the other twelve were first time offenders. The department commenced the initiative in hopes of deterring people from getting behind the wheel after they have been drinking.
