Motorcycle Accident in Dodge County

Motorcyclists are a common fixture on the roadways in Wisconsin when the weather is nice. Because motorcycles are common the roadways, drivers of motor vehicles and motorcycles should be extra cautious to ensure that the roadways are safe for everyone. Practicing safe driving is important to ensure that all users of the roadways remain safe.

A motorcycle accident occurred recently in Dodge County, Wisconsin. The accident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, October 4th on County Highway P. The driver of the motorcycle was traveling northbound on County Highway P, when he struck a deer in the roadway. The force of the collision with the deer caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from his vehicle.

The motorcyclist landed in the roadway after being ejected from the motorcycle, and was then hit by a car traveling northbound on the highway. The motorcyclist was hit a second time after being ejected by a dump truck traveling northbound as well. Tragically, the motorcycle driver passed away from his injuries sustained from both being ejected and being hit twice after the accident.

Law enforcement officials received the call about the accident around 7:30 pm and immediately went to the accident scene. Law enforcement’s investigation of the accident remains ongoing. The investigation is being completed by both the Sheriff’s Office and its Crash Investigation Team.

It is of the utmost importance to pay close attention to the roadways while driving as unexpected things, such as a deer in the roadway, can appear and cause hazardous situations.
