November 9 , 2016 | Personal Injury

Oreos, a delicious treat, are enjoyed by many people across the country. There are many types of Oreos ranging from the traditional Oreos to flavored Oreos. Recently an Oreo product, the Oreo Fudge Cremes, has been recalled. The recall was issued because a milk allergen was not included in the ingredient list.

Food allergies are a common occurance in the United States. Researchers believe that almost 15 million Americans have food allergies. Because of the potential problems for people with food allergies ingesting cookies that they do not know contain a milk allergen, Mondelez Global LLC, the maker of Oreos, is recalling the products nationwide.

People who have an allergy or a very sensitive to milk should not eat the Oreo Fudge Cremes. If they consume the Oreo Fudge Cremes they could have a serious allergic reaction.

Both Oreo Fudge Cremes Original and Oreo Fudge Cremes Mint are affected by this recall. These are the only products that are being recalled. There has been one report of a consumer experiencing an allergic reaction to the product.

If consumers have the product, they should not eat it. They should discard the cookies.
