On Thursday, September 22, 2016, there were two car accidents in Milwaukee in which speed played a serious factor. The car accidents resulted in two deaths and one person person being severly injured.
One of the accidents occurred at 76th and Sheridan. A car that was speeding collided into a truck. The passenger of the car passed away at the scene of the accident. The driver of the car passed away at the hospital. Police believe that the car was traveling between 70 to 80 miles per hour at the time of the accident.
The second accident occured not even 10 minutes after the first accident. This accident occurred at Good Hope and Teutonia. Police believe that the driver was racing another vehicle before the accident occurred.
Police have reported that they are seeing frequent speeding on the main roads in the city. Some of these roads include 76th Street, 91st Street, Silver Spring Drive and Brown Deer Road.
Speeding is a dangerous activity and it should be avoided. Arriving to your destination a couple minutes earlier is not worth putting your own life or the lives of other vehicle occupants at risk.
